K.C. College of Education observed International Day for National Disaster Reduction

The United Nations General Assembly designated October 13 th as the International Day for
National Disaster Reduction as a part of its proclamation of the International Decade for
Natural Disaster Reduction. The Environmental Club of K.C. College of Education observed
“International Day for Natural Disaster Reduction (IDDR) on 14 th October, 2024 by
organizing a seminar on the topic “Empowering the Next Generation for a Better Future”.
The members of the club, the students of semester – III, participated in the seminar where the
participants discussed and shared their views on the topic and worked out various ways and
means by which the future generations can be empowered for a better future.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sanjay Tickoo, Principal of the college added that
empowering young individuals to believe in themselves and their abilities is important for
their better future. The whole event was convened by the convenor of the club, Dr. Puja
Sharma.
