K.C. College of Education celebrated Holi at Old age Home, Amphalla, Jammu

Cultural Club and NSS unit of K.C. College of Education celebrated the upcoming festival of Holi, a popular
and significant Hindu festival celebrated as festival of colours and spring. It signifies the triumphs of good
over evil.
This year, students and faculty of K.C. College of Education celebrated the festival of colours with
the residents of old age home to break their sadness and to give them a reason to smile.
Students of the college during their visit at Old Age Home, Amphalla Jammu, presented cultural
items like songs, dance, bhajans involving the senior citizens living there. Later on, they applied gulal on the
faces of residents of old age home and seek their blessings. A rangoli competition was also organized there,
wherein students of the college showcased their artistic talent through their rangolis. The senior citizens of
old age home judged Team 12 (Roshi & Srishti), Team 1 (Gouri and Vaishali) & Team 11 (Sanjana &
Shivani) first, second & third winning team respectively.
Staff & students of the college also presented things of daily use like toiletries & eatables to them.
