K.C. College of Education participated in “Plant for Mother Campaign”

The Environmental Club and NSS wing of K.C. College of Education in collaboration with
Inner Wheel Club Jammu Sampark today launched a Plantation drive at Community Park,
Shakti Nagar Jammu. This was part of global campaign “One plant for Mother” to
commemorate the forthcoming Independence day. The Initiative was to call upon individuals
to plant trees as a tribute to their mothers and as a mark of respect and commitment to protect
and preserve Mother Nature.

The programme/ event started with elaborations on the importance of environment in
view of increasing global warming. The students were made aware of the increasing
environmental disasters which can only be countered with increased plantation.
